The main difference between a metal cutter and a circular saw is their cutting method and application areas.
Cutting method: Metal cutters usually use band saws or circular saws for cutting. Band saws cut materials by moving a long saw blade, similar to the shape of a wood saw blade but wider and thicker; while circular saws cut materials by rotating the saw disc, usually referring to circular saws.
Application areas: Metal cutters are suitable for steel, casting cutting, mold manufacturing, metal plates, rubber, fabrics, plastics, synthetic resins, leather products and other materials.
In contrast, circular saws are mainly used to cut steel. They use unique materials and tooth shapes. Compared with previous products, they can cut metal faster, have stronger chip handling capabilities, and do not transfer heat during the cutting process.
Speed and material: Metal circular saws are usually used to cut common metal materials, such as aluminum, copper, iron, stainless steel, etc. As a type of metal circular saw machine, the aluminum cutter is specially designed for cutting materials with lower hardness such as aluminum in order to improve efficiency and precision. The saw blade of the aluminum cutter is made of TCT (Carbon Tungsten Carbide Inserts), which can withstand high-speed rotation of at least 2000 rpm. In contrast, the saw blade used in ordinary metal circular saw machines is made of high-speed steel, and its maximum speed can only reach 1500 rpm.
In summary, metal cutters and circular saws differ in cutting methods and application areas. Metal cutters can adapt to a wider range of materials for cutting due to their unique band saw or circular saw design, while circular saws are specially designed for efficient and fast cutting of steel.
