Regulations for the operation of gantry band saws
1. Wear tight protective clothing before operating the band saw, fasten the cuffs, do not open the hem of the top, and do not wear gloves. Do not wear, take off or change clothes next to the running machine, or wrap the cloth around your body to prevent machine strangulation. You must wear a safety helmet, put your braids inside the hat, and do not wear skirts or slippers.
2. Make all preparations before starting the band saw machine, and install the vise so that the center of the saw material is in the middle of the saw stroke. The raw material is placed horizontally on the vise at right angles to the saw blade; if you want to saw an angled material, first adjust the vise to the required angle, and the saw material size must not be larger than the maximum saw material size of the machine.
4. When sawing pipes or thin plate profiles, the tooth pitch should not be less than the thickness of the material. When sawing, the handle should be retreated to the slow position and the feed amount should be reduced.
5. When the band saw is in operation, the speed must not be changed in the middle. The saw material must be placed straight, clamped and locked, and the feed amount is determined according to the hardness of the material and the quality of the saw blade.
6. The band saw must use special hydraulic oil and lubricating oil. The coolant in the hydraulic transmission and lubrication device must be clean and replaced or filtered periodically.
7. When the band saw is about to cut the material, it is necessary to strengthen observation and pay attention to safe operation.
8. After the band saw is finished, cut off the power supply, put the control handles back to the empty position, and do a good job of cleaning.
9. If a fault is found during the operation of the band saw, it should be stopped immediately and reported to the Construction and Security Department to send a mechanic for repair.
